This application thread is for players who are not currently members of Taint who would like to indicate their interest in looking for a raid spot with one of our raid teams. Please check our Taint Raiding & Recruiting guide to see what raid spots we may have open for external applicants.
All of our raid leaders will have access to this thread and will be able to refer to it should we have a vacancy that we need to fill.
Taint is a social guild serving the gay, lesbian, bisexual, transgenered and friends community. We expect that all guild members and anyone joining us in raids will be comfortable and supportive in this environment and must be at least 18 years of age. By posting your interest in this thread you are stating that meet this requirement and agree to be bound by it.

Prior raiding experience Unfortunately I have never been involved in truly high end raid content with Gruls and Mags Lair being the only 25 mans I've cleared. I have done a little (1 boss each) in TK, SSC, and Hyjal and also all of Kara (if that counts for anything.)
Days & Times you can raid (server time) I'm available pretty much every weekday from 5pm on, and anytime on the weekend provided I dont work.

Koldun I don't really understand your message. This thread is for people outside the guild to apply to raid with the taint. You list some other guilds that you are affiliated with, but I see that you are a member on our website which can only happen when one is accepted to membership in the guild and invited in-game into the guild.
Raid leaders are the ones responsible for raid issue, and officers for guild wide issues. Perhaps you are mixing up the two? There is no external e-mail associated with raiding as far as I know, but there are external e-mails associated with membership in the guild. As far as guild membership is concerned, since I see you are a member, I believe this issue has been resolved.
If you are a member of the guild, see this guide (http://taint.dkpsystem.com/guide.php?guideid=57) for a list of raids in the guild and contact the raid leader privately for more info. In addition, there are many informational/organizational threads in the raid section of the forums that may help you.
If there is some other problem, please contact an officer in-game to rtesolve the issue. You can find a list of officers in the left side of the website under "contacts"

Character Name, Class, Spec: My character's name is Baneofshadow. He is a Paladin. Currently he is specced ret but also has a (prepatch) 2027 bonus heals set.

Prior raiding experience, I have 4 70s. All of which have been dps and collectively i have done: all of Kara, all of ZA, all of gruuls, mag, 3/4 tk, 5/6 ssc, 5/5 hyjal, 3/9 BT. Like i said collectively, ive done this content on a Mage, dps warrior, paladin, and rogue. I have the mats for a shadow resist set minus the HoDs. I originally gathered them for the leather set for my rogue however i dont know if the mats vary for the different armor types other than ores and metals.

Right now, raid space for a ret or holy paladin is at a premium, but we ARE looking for a prot pally if you think that's something you can gear yourself up for and be good at. Your gear, while not shabby by any means, is a little behind for the level of content we're doing right now (deep BT, Sunwell). Not to say a few solid nights in BT wouldn't help that out, but at the moment we'll have to put this app on hold and see how the other trials fare over the next week or two. With the expansion coming up though, it can all change in a blink of an eye. I'll keep in touch as the expansion draws near. Thanks for applying!
So I have three level 70's, BM Hunter (Ingwe), Destruction Warlock (Elanesse) and Holy Priest (Dhamma) - all on Dethecus server. I can respec based on needs of the guild. Experience with raids is fair: Kara, Gruuls, and some SSC/TK. The guilds on Dethecus are horrid so I haven’t been participating so much in guilds lately and there certainly isn’t any “gay guild” on my server. I did try to start one but I didn’t have the time to put in to it like a good GM would. I am typically busy during the week but I am always completely free during weekends.
I was looking through the threads and viewing all the comments, thoughts, conversations you have had and I’m just extremely impressed by this group of people. This is the guild I’ve been looking for and if you guys accept my application I’d be more than happy to transfer servers. Just so you know a little about me I’m a former Navy guy (6 years), after I got out in 2005 I worked with the Human Rights Campaign and was the Iowa spokesperson for a National tour they didn’t discussing “Don’t Ask, Don’t Tell”. I was also the Caucus Director for the HRC in the state of Iowa until the January 2008 Caucus. Right now I’m back in South Dakota working toward a PhD in Clinical Psychology and a Masters in Fine Arts. I’m 29, libra, opinionated, philosophical, political, entertaining and of course gay! Hello and thanks for the interest! I'm the raid leader of the progression raid force (9/9 BT, 5/5 Hyjal, 2/6 Sunwell atm), but we also have several other raid teams that are beginning to dive deeper into Hyjal and BT, as well as teams that still do a lot of T5 and entry-level raiding. There's a raid force to suit your schedule/effort/game needs, you just have to find the one that will be a good fit for you, and vice versa. Feel free to make a level 1 alt on Proudmoore and talk to me or an officer in-game, we can direct you to the appropriate representative of whatever particular raid team you are interested in. They'll be able to answer any and all questions you may have before you decide to submit an application to the guild and the subsequent raid team.
